Rhueval Scott, 90, Springfield, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the home of his step-daughter in Springfield. A native of Washington County, he was born June 27, 1921, to the late Ernest and Eva Scott. Survivors include two step-daughters, Charlene Chesser, Springfield, and Mildred (Ruffus) Edward, Liberty; and a sister, Larvana Boblitt (Hubert), Willisburg. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Carey & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Claunch of Bethlehem Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg with military rites conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Buddy Chesser, Gary Chesser, Lavalle Scott, Billy Taylor, Roger Boblitt and Kevin Edwards. Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
