Timothy Austin Smith, 17, of St. Francis, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, as a result of an auto accident.
He was born Jan. 19, 2001. He was a senior at Marion County High School and worked part-time at Ballard Heating and Air in St. Francis. He enjoyed softball, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his parents, Timmy Smith and Stacey Spalding, of St. Francis; one sister, Sammie Smith; one brother, Isaac Smith; grandparents, Mark and Patty Holt, of Bloomfield, Jude and Aimee Spalding, of Fredericktown and Gladys and Gerald Smith, of Loretto; his girlfriend, Kristi Martin, of Holy Cross; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52 in Loretto. The Rev. Brian Lamberson will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road in Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. by the Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
