Mildred Marie Patton, 67, of Chaplin, died Friday, March 14, 2014, at her residence. She was born June 1, 1946, in Spencer County, a retired bus driver for the Nelson County School System, a member of Town and Country Homemakers, Worthy Matron of Eastern Star – Old Kentucky Home No. 136, Mad Dashers Quilt Club, New Haven Tabernacle Quilt Group, and Chaplin Baptist Church where she was a part of C.V.C.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Dessie Cook; and a nephew, Brian Cook.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Patton, of Chaplin; a son, Mike (Annette) Patton, of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Michael Thomas Patton, Michaela Brooke Patton, and Morgan Trace Patton; a sister, Hazel Edwards, of Mount Washington; and a brother, Arthur Ray Cook, of Spencer County.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Chaplin Baptist Church, with burial in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Brother Mark Glasscock will officiate.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 17, at Barlow Funeral Home and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Chaplin Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may go to Kosair Children's Hospital.
