Eudora Mattingly, 81, of Bardstown, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Nelson County, a homemaker and an avid quilter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Nora Auberry; two brothers, William Auberry and Nekomos Auberry; two sisters, Elizabeth Downs and Thelma Wheeler.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Mattingly, of Bardstown; seven children, Jinnie (Danny) Keeling, of New Hope, Laura Greenwell, of Bardstown, Pam (Donnie) Taylor, of New Haven, Fran (Jodie) Filiatreau, Tony (Mary Jo) Mattingly, Kenny Mattingly, all of Bardstown, John Paul Mattingly, of California; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Smith, of Nazareth, Georgia Bradley, of Bardstown, and Helen Reid, of Louisville; sister-in-law, Margaret Auberry; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Rev. Bill Hammer will be officiating. Visitation was from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, and 9 – 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be 7 pm Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may go St. Joseph Church Bereavement Committee.
