Joseph Wilbur "Bill" Mudd, 95, of Bardstown, died Friday June 13, 2014 at Colonial Health & Rehab. He was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Nelson County, retired from Jim Beam Brands, and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell Mudd; second wife, Shirley Hall Mudd; three sons, Jimmy Mudd, Joe Mudd, and Jerry Mudd; two daughters, Martha Dross, and Brenda Downs; parents, J.B. and Mattie Lee Mudd; two brothers, Melvin Mudd, and Paul D. Mudd; and sister, Cleo Mudd.
Survivors include 10 children, Linda Humphrey, Mary Ballard, Michael Mudd, Charlie Mudd, Mark Mudd, David Mudd, Becky Mudd, Anita Mudd all of Nelson County, Gleada Spalding of Louisville, and Jannie Farnsworth of Tennessee; and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was 11 a.m. Monday June 16, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, with burial in St. Gregory Cemetery. Rev. Paul Eve will officiate.
Memorial contributions may go to St. Gregory Catholic Church.
Pallbearers were Ricky Humphrey, James Mudd, D.J. Mudd, Eric Mudd, Joey Mudd, and Amanda Farnsworth.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Mudd, Scott Humphrey, and Tim Mudd.
