Frances Eloise "Weezie" Deats, 92, of Bardstown, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Windsor Gardens. She was born Dec. 23, 1921, in Louisville. She retired from Peoples Bank and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mike Halgash; second husband, Edgar "Reggie" Deats; and her parents, William Spencer and Metta Mattingly.
Survivors include three children, Rhonda Orel (Dennis), of Louisville, Kenny Halgash (Linda), of Bardstown, and Jerry Halgash (Debbie), of Valrico, Fla.; three stepsons, Frank Deats, of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Steve Deats, of Prospect, and Michael Halgash, of Hagerstown, Md.; three grandchildren, Amanda Dozier (Harry), Alisha Halgash and Chris Halgash; several great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at New Salem Baptist Church with burial in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.The Rev. Jonathan Gann will officiate.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Saturday, July 5, and 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Barlow Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may go to New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
