George Russell Clark, Jr., 70, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He was born Sept. 7, 1943, in Loretto. He served in the army during the Vietnam era and retired from General Electric.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Russell Clark Sr. and Mary Ethel Murphy Clark; two brothers, Louis and Leon Clark; and sister, Mary Emma Donahue.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Clark, of Bardstown; four sons, Greg Clark (Susan), of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Tommy Clark, of Glen Burnie, Md., Jeffrey Clark (Jo Carol), of Bardstown, and Michael Clark (Liz), of Louisville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Jessica Burkhead, Jacob, Anna, Allison and Emma Clark; two brothers, James R. "Joe" Clark, of Holy Cross, Kenneth Clark, of Louisville; two sisters, Mary Mildred Brown and Mary Susan Clark, both of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Batcheldor officiated.
