Thomas Harold Higdon, 76, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. He was a native of Louisville, born on April 3, 1937, and a former resident of Bardstown.
He was a former salesman for Cox's Interiors of Campbellsville and was a United States Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Addie Lee Gardner Higdon; a stepbrother, Carl Shofner; a step sister, Janet Mattingly; and a half-brother Harold Higdon.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Robinette Higdon, of Kennesaw, Ga.; two daughters, Mary Lee Riggs and Linda (Brad) Naiser, both of Louisville; a son, Thomas Harold Higdon, Jr., of Houston, Texas; a stepdaughter, Renee Houston, of Kennesaw, Ga.; two stepsons, Josh ( Paige) Houston, of Kennesaw, Ga., Paul (Kathy) Houston, of Canton, Ga.; three grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; a sister, Anna Lee (Bill) Brown, of Bardstown; a brother, Charles (Connie) Higdon, of Mount Washington; and a half-sister, Georgeanne Reynolds, of New Albany, Ind.; a half-brother, Eddie ( Peggy) Higdon, of Louisville; his stepmother, Ola Higdon, of Louisville; and a stepbrother, Charlie (Mary) Oshner, of Louisville. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Eve celebrating.
Visitation will be noon Monday, Dec. 23, until the time of the service at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home
