Jane was born in Waterville, CT in 1926. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1947 from Millard Fillmore School of Nursing in Buffalo, Massachusetts. She always loved telling stories of all the places she was stationed, including her experiences with the Iron Lung during the Polio epidemic. In 1962 she moved to San Bernardino and was a nurse at Community Hospital. In 1963, she went to work for the County of San Bernardino in the Foster Care Unit as a Supervisor and retired in 1986.
Jane was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her love for travelling started when she was in the Air Force and she continued to travel after she completed her service. She made several visits to Hawaii to see her best friend and also traveled to England to see the Westminster Dog show since was she breeder of Cocker Spaniel show dogs.
Jane is survived by her only daughter Marjorie Cobb of San Bernardino, and her two grandchildren, Kevin and Melissa Cobb.

I will always remember Mrs.C (to me she was Mrs.C ) and all her dogs that her and Margie had. Mrs. C was quite a character and always had something witty to say. She used to call me Blue because everyone called me Red. Love you Mrs. C!

I remember Jane as we were in the same AFDC unit at the SBco. Welfare Dept. during the mid 1960's. She was always pleasant and enjoyed bringing coffee for us. She shared her life experiences and we wondered why she had left an Air Force career. Those days seemed as though they would never end for those of us who were on our first job, yet they did and it is interesting to read that Jane retired from the Co. and became a supervisor for the Foster Care Unit. Jane was intelligent, professional and did well in life. I also recall her being proud of her very young daughter.
