Alexander Jr., George W. - Sherman Oaks  
George Whitaker Alexander Jr. (born 1946, Knoxville, TN) died at 68 years of age on July 16, 2015. He was surrounded by family and left peacefully after courageously battling a neurological disease for many years. He is survived by his wife Virginia Alexander, his 3 children and 7 grandchildren: Tom Alexander (wife Laura, children: Owen and Leah), Jean Frater (husband Mark, children: Basil and Ivy), Julia Bates (husband Daniel, children: Max, Aurora, and Fiona); and his sisters: Sybil Alexander (deceased), Deborah Vaughn, Virginia Thayer, and Pamela Fennell. George was a cast member and operations manager of Up With People; he was a pioneer in retail sales analytics, and co-developed accu-SPACE a technology-based marketing tool; George worked as an International Business executive for Unilever, North America, Europe and South America. He and his wife moved to the Los Angeles area, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Counseling West. George and his beloved wife Vee enjoyed life and travel. He loved casting flies on the Madison, and playing the guitar and singing with Vee. George felt equally comfortable in solitude as well as with his many friends: among nature, sport and music. His grandchildren brought him immense joy. George had a contagious enthusiasm for life, and inspired much happiness among his many friends and family.

Brown, Sidney  
SIDNEY JOEL BROWN, Ph.D. 04/09/1947 - 07/19/2015 Dr. Sidney J. Brown, a clinical psychologist, lost his courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and passed away in Sherman Oaks, CA. In addition to being a gifted psychologist, Dr. Brown was a highly accomplished classical guitarist, sailor, athlete, rock climber and avid skier. He is preceded in death by his father, Sidney A. Brown and his younger brother Dennis Brown. Dr. Brown is survived by his mother, Loraine Brown, brother Richard Brown, sisters Joie Brown Williams and Karen Brown Billings. He also leaves behind former wife, Dr. Linda Florey (Brown), best friend and confidant, Elaine Lasseff and devoted caregiver, Janet Moyer. A private memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate Dr. Brown's life.

Cisneros, Annie - Sun Valley  
ANNIE MAGDALENO CISNEROS "TIA ANNIE" Born on July 26, 1928 in San Fernando, CA. Passed away July 24, 2015. Preceded in death by her husband, Abe Cisneros; daughter, Gloria C. Daniel; siblings, Lupe Magdaleno, Trinidad Magdaleno, Rosie Ybarra Cano and Delfina Daniel. Survived by her loving family: children, Danny Cisneros, Richard Cisneros (Sally) and Christine Lee (Rick); 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, as well as her siblings, Alfonso Magdaleno, Rudolpho Magdaleno, Delia Alvidrez and Estella Miranda. Annie was full of life and ready to go at a moments notice. Her love for family and friends is what made her unique and loved by all. Services will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. Viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m., and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Poverello of Assisi Retreat House in San Fernando. Followed by burial at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.

Cullotta, Tony - Encino  
TONY CULLOTTA January 27, 1929 - July 24, 2015 Tony Cullotta, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Encino, CA on Friday July 24, 2015 after a long illness. Born in Chicago, IL to Mary Lombardo and Dominic Cullotta, He and his family migrated to California in February 1958, where he lived until his passing. His life was a happy one, full of loving family and multiple long-time friends, many of whom date back to his childhood. The family is also thankful to Jose Mendoza, his caregiver for many years. Tony was a manager and service advisor for G.M. all of his life. He was forced into retirement from Dixson Cadillac in 1987 due to a stroke. Tony is survived by his wife, Carmeline of 57 years; two daughters, Susan (husband Rick) Diamond of Valencia and Geanine (husband Martin) Barden of Reseda. The two loves of Tony's life were grandson Kevin (wife Brittany) Diamond of Castaic, and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn. He is also survived by his brother, Peter and sister, Marie of IL., along with numerous nieces and nephews. Tony and his quiet sense of humor, mischievous smile and love of family will be missed. Services will be held at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. Viewing Monday, August 3rd, 6:00 to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Tuesday, August 4th, 11:00 am. Directors (818) 361-7387

Miller, Kurt - Los Angeles  
KURT FREDERICK MILLER Age 49, of Northridge, California, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, due to complications of severe pneumonia. Kurt was born in Santa Monica on May 8, 1966. He graduated from Bishop Alemany High School in 1984. Following High School he went on to own his own construction company and work as a Master Carpenter and Propmaker Forman in the Motion Picture Entertainment Industry. Kurt is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jewele; three sons, Edge, Nick and Hudson Miller; daughter, Spencer (Ashton Kolander) Miller; granddaughter, Kennedy Kolander; his father, stepmother, brother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and other loving relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Mae Miller; and his father-in-law, Rocky Childs. The relatives and friends of Kurt and Jewele Miller are invited to a Memorial Service planned for 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015, in the Church of the Hills at Forest Lawn – Hollywood Hills. A Graveside Service will follow. A Celebration of Kurt's Life will take place immediately following at The Odyssey (15600 Odyssey Drive, Granada Hills, CA 91344). In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that memorial donations be made to the California Heat "Kurt Miller #55 Memorial Fund." The California Heat, P.O. Rehm, Bob - Los Angeles  
Bob Rehm, former resident of Burbank, California, passed away in Monterey, California on July 10, 2015. He was 64. A gifted songwriter and guitarist, Bob performed in several bands upon arriving in Los Angeles from his native Illinois. He, Esther, and their dog Rudy soon settled in Burbank, where they enjoyed wonderful neighbors and the company of many friends. Bob later pursued a career in vocational counseling, serving injured workers with integrity and compassion, first with RGI of Los Angeles and later founding Bob Rehm Vocational Services of Salinas, while continuing to express his creativity through music, poetry and cooking. Bob is survived by his son, Benjamin, and many family members and will be deeply missed by countless others. A celebration of Bob's life will be held in Carmel, California on August 20. Thibeault, Donald - Oxnard  
DONALD W. THIBEAULT Age 87, of Oxnard, died July 15, 2015, following a brief illness. Don was born January 4, 1928 in Sanford, Maine to Henry and Olive Thibeault, humble Canadian immigrants. He married Marie Albert on June 21, 1952 in Portland, Maine. Don graduated from St. Ignatius High School (Sanford, Maine) in 1945, received his B.A. from Southwestern University (Georgetown, Texas), his M.A. from Los Angeles State College, and his Ed.D. from U.C.L.A. in 1978. His military career was both long and varied, from serving as "Gun Boss" on the U.S.S. Huse (DE 145) during the Korean conflict (1952-1955) to Commanding Officer of a large Surface Reserve Division in Santa Monica, California (1976-1979). After seven years of active duty and 32 years as a reservist he retired in 1988 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Air Force. His high school teaching career began at Reseda High School (1956-1959) and ended at Taft High School (1960-1992). He was an evening instructor at Los Angeles Pierce College from 1965 to 1984. Dr. Thibeault was also a pioneer Mentor and Master teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District. After retiring from teaching, Don and his lovely wife moved to Oxnard, where he founded America Realty. Don served as foreman of the 1997-1998 Ventura County Grand Jury. He also ran an exuberant campaign for mayor of Oxnard and served as a member on the Senior Services Commission, energetically championing causes benefitting the senior population in the community. In addition, he developed and taught Mental Gymnastics courses at the Wilson Senior Center. Don is predeceased by his wife, Marie; his son, Denis; and his grandson, Andrew. He leaves his son, David, of San Diego; his daughter, Donna, of Talent, Oregon; and three grandsons, Alex, Brandon, and Chasen. There will be a Memorial Service on July 31st, 10:00 am, at Santa Clara Chapel in Oxnard. He will be interred at Miramar National Cemetery on August 20th, 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend.
