CHERYL PAULINE (BYRD) NICHOLS October 12, 1949 - February 19, 2015 Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt. Sherry graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1969, after graduation she attended the Radiology Technologist training at UCLA. She graduated from UCLA with honors, receiving the Mallinckrodt Award for outstanding academic achievement. Upon graduation she was hired as a Radiologist Technologist by the UCLA Medical Center. She worked at UCLA until 1989, achieving appointment to the role of Director of Radiology. Sherry met and married her husband in 1976. In 1989 she relocated to Oklahoma, to raise her son. She returned to Los Angeles in 2002, where she began working in the radiology department at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. She had a great many talents including needlepointing, knitting and crocheting. She loved reading and collecting clown art. She is survived by her Husband, Tom Nichols, Mother, Cora Byrd, son, Thomas Joseph, four Daughters, Kimberly, Debbie, Rebecca and Jennifer, 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and three sisters, Dana Naideau, Sarah Slotterbech and Betty Nuckollsl. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on March 4th, at the Haven House Church, 21617 Cleardale St., Newhall, Ca. 91321.
