Charles Richards


Passed peacefully from congestive heart failure June 24th, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving children. Charles was born and raised in Boise, ID. He was a Captain in the Army Air Corp in WWII as a Meteorologist and Flight Control Officer. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Charles worked as a Nuclear Engineer for Hanover Nuclear Plant, in WA, and Atomic Energy Commission (SSFL and DeSoto Complexes) in CA. He loved to golf. Beloved father and friend, he will be remembered as a caring and generous man.

He will be greatly missed by his 5 children, John, Cynthia, Jeff, Julia, Linda; 6 grandchildren, Cortney, Aaron, Ewing, Mark, Mari, Heather; g-granddaughter, Aarika; ex-wife, LaVerne Richards; and two brothers, Larry and Timothy.

Charles' ashes will be scattered at sea. Donations may be made to the .
