Eugene Taylor


Born October 31, 1924 in South San Francisco, California, passed away on June 13, 2013.

He served two years in the Army as a Rifleman in the Infantry fighting during World War II in France. He was wounded in Holland and was honorably discharged in 1945 receiving a Purple Heart. Eugene received his BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from USC in 1950. He then went on to pass the State Bar of Professional Engineering. He worked for Bendix for 38 1/2 years working on sonar, circuits, and submarines.

He had a love for skin diving, dancing, Ham radio, and astronomy. He was a loving and caring father. He was truly a great man and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet, and her husband Mark Stiver of Palmdale; granddaughter, Cindy, and her husband Justin Gadomski of Lancaster; granddaughter, Lesley, and her fiancé Jimmy Higgins of Sacramento; son, Steven, and his wife Jeanne; granddaughter, Laura; granddaughter, Amber, and her husband Sammy Tyndall; and great granddaughter, Rylie Tyndall of Valencia.

The family would like to extend appreciation to the ICU nurses at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center and especially to Eric Feit, M.D. and Steven Taback, M.D.

A private memorial service for Eugene was held on June 21, 2013 at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills.
