JAMES ANTHONY CAPPAS
Age 71, died peacefully in his longtime Reseda, CA residence with his family by his side. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He served in the US Navy until 1971, and spent his early adult years sailing, scuba and skin diving, hunting and camping.
He met his wife in August 1981 while in the restaurant business and they later married and raised their two children. Together they founded and owned a successful residential cleaning business for 25 years.
His love for the Great Outdoors led to decades of camping with his best friends and his children. He was passionate about photography, politics and history. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son, and his younger sister. James was a great husband, a loving father, and a cherished friend. His humor, wisdom, stubbornness, and zest for life will be dearly missed.
