JAMES ALVIN HOLLEY
Age 74, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013.
James was born on October 3, 1938 in Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee to Ruth Lee Deal and Eldridge Holley. As a young man he served in the Army
Reserves and was a professional Dirt Track Racer in the 60's. In 1960 he married Diane Athene Voishan. Together they raised a son and three daughters in Northridge, California.
He ran a successful plastering business for 18+ years and worked for Yamaha Factory as a mechanic for his son, Jim Holley in the 80's. He was also a mechanic for Yamaha Japan and continued to run his own mechanic business, Holley Racing, up until his death.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Diane; his children, Jim, Cindy, Cathy and Chris; grandchildren, James, Jared, Cory and Tony; his brother, Robert Parliament; and sisters, Eva Brown and Leah Parliament. He is preceded in death by Jewel Salch, Carolyn Tooker, Joseph Holley and Jerry Holley.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013, 12:30 p.m., at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St., Chatsworth. Viewing services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home, 2636 Sycamore Dr., in Simi Valley.
