April 4, 1934 February 16, 2013
Keith went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2013, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Keith was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa, and was loved beyond words.
He was born to Stanley Edge and Amy Wetherell on April 4, 1934, in Bellingham County Durham, England. He served in the British Royal Army Engineers, and was stationed in Korea. In 1960 he immigrated to Canada, and later immigrated to the United States where he met the love of his life, Marlee Thompson. Keith and Marlee were married in 1963, and he became a citizen of the United States in 1968. Having completed his refrigeration mechanics apprenticeship in England, he continued his profession in Canada and in the U.S., where he spent 40+ years working for Hussmann Corp. specializing in commercial market refrigeration/air conditioning. He was actively involved in his church, Emmanuel Lutheran, and his children's school, Laurel Hall, for many years to support with fellowship, facilities and education. After retirement, Keith spent 10 years generously volunteering his time to the children at Providencia Elementary School in his daughter Kelly's classroom in the Burbank Unified School District, where he was loved dearly by all. He was also a recipient of the BUSD Honorary Service Award for his years of dedication.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Marlee Edge; daughters; Kelly (Larry) Ohrt, Jennifer (Tony) Giliberto, and Alyson (Ismael Lopez) Edge; grandchildren, Jordan Siefken, Natalie and Taylor Ohrt, Dylan and Jonathan Giliberto, and Jacob Lopez; and his brother Geoff (Carolyn) Edge; and his sister, Mary (Al) Feather.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23rd, 11:00 a.m., at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 6020 Radford St., North Hollywood. A reception will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Keith's name to Providence TrinityCare Hospice Foundation or a charity close to your heart.
