Spartico Galieti

April 22, 1929 - March 30, 2013

Born and raised in Alliance, Ohio, the son of Augusto and Margherita (Cuomo) Galieti. Spartico was a Graduate of Alliance High School and Mount Union College. He held a Masters degree from CSUN and a degree in Geology from UCLA. He worked on the Apollo Space Program for eight years and then became a State Farm agent for the next 25 years in Missions Hills, Ca. He was a member of Kiwanis club, YMCA and Mission Hills Chamber of Commerce. Spartico served in the United States Army as a Supply Sergeant during the Korean War.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 56 years, Sally Coco Galieti of Northridge, CA; his five siblings, Louise Smith of Michigan, Valerio Galieti of Canfield, Ohio, Camillo Galieti of Northridge, CA, Helen Connolly of Granada Hills, CA, and Christina Lehigh of Reno, Nevada and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the Oncology staff at Holy Cross Hospital for their great care for Spartico. Dr. Christopher Buttelman, Dr. Marwa W. Kilani and Dr. Phillip Chatham and his staff that has taken care of him for 19 years. Also, thank you to Jeff and Kodua Galieti for being there for us. Thank you to the Chaplains at Holy Cross Hospital for their spiritual care.

A service will be held May 4, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at Utter McKinley Mortuary in Mission Hills. He loved all people and they loved him. He will not be forgotten. UTTER McKINLEY SAN FERNANDO MISSION MORTUARY
