William Francis Moore

WILLIAM FRANCIS MOORE
Passed away at home on Friday, January 4, 2013. He was born on July 29, 1928 in Shelby, Ohio. Bill attended Catholic University in Washington D.C., and served in the army immediately following World War II. In 1958, he moved to Redlands with his family to take a position at Norton Air Force Base. Bill worked for the United States government for more than 37 years. He was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus parish (formerly Sacred Heart Church) for more than 50 years. Bill was one of seven siblings. His only surviving sibling is his sister, Ruth Viers of Shelby, Ohio. Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Virginia Louise, and son Michael Roy. He is survived by three daughters Karen (Richard) White, Mary (Randy) Jensen, and Sarah (Dexter) Cole, all of Redlands. Bill had eight grandchildren: Adam and Matthew (Micha) Lewis; Ryan, Sean and Ashleigh Jensen; Megan, Michael and Samantha Cole; and four great-grandchildren: Noah, Elijah and Ava Lewis; and Erika Evigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed and was loved by all. A funeral mass for Bill is on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 115 W. Olive Ave., Redlands. A rosary will precede the mass at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or the Leukemia Foundation. Cortner Chapel, directing.
