ARMENTA, Albert E.

Albert E. Armenta a long time resident of Azusa passed away on January 6, 2013, at the age of 88. He was born May 15, 1924, in Arizona and moved to California with his beloved wife, Cruz, just prior to WWII. Shortly after moving to California, Albert was sent overseas to France and Germany. He was proud of his time serving the country abroad. He often spoke of his time in Normandy and the cold harsh European winter he spent missing his wife and newborn baby boy. Albert had a full life in Azusa working for United Concrete and participating in various philanthropies with his wife namely, The Helping Hand. He is known for being a proud veteran, a father of three, a beloved husband and a loving grandfather.
He is survived by his three children, Albert Jr., Richard, and Christina; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A Vigil Prayer Service and Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11th from 6:00 - 9:00PM at White's Funeral Home, Azusa. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, St. Frances of Rome Church, Azusa, 11:00AM, followed by interment at Oakdale Memorial Park, Glendora. Whites Funeral Home (626) 334-2921 is assisting the family.
