Beverly Gylling was born in Stanwood, WA, on February 10, 1921. She met Howard Johnson and they were married August l6, 1940. They moved to California in December 1949. They owned a bakery in the Wilmore Hotel in Downtown Long Beach for several years. Dancing was always a love even while raising 4 children although reading was always her number one passion. Beverly and Howard were divorced after 26 years and 10 years later, she met Paul Gylling. They were married for 32 years. In 1974 they started P & B Manufacturing making car care products. After retirement their first trip was a 2-week cruise to Hawaii. Then, the big one, a trip to Europe on the Queen Elizabeth II and 6 weeks later; a 31/2 hour flight home on the Concorde. They bought a motor home and traveled all over the U.S. In 1991, they moved to Nevada for 8 years, then back to California to be close to family. On August 25, 2013, Beverly departed this earthly existence after 92 years, 6months and 15 days. She is survived by her sister, Barnetta Doss in Kirkland, WA; daughter, Lynne Trampush, Canyon Lake, CA; and sons, Stephen Johnson, Tampa, FL, Mark Johnson, Lincoln, NE and Mitchell Johnson, Grants Pass, OR; 8 grandchildren, Rick Coats, Cheryl Welch, David Johnson, Erin Haripotepornkul, Nathan and Rachael Johnson and Jared and Austin Johnson. Then she would say, "I have 9 wonderful great-grandchildren with a great-great one on the way." Before she passed on she was hoping those she cared about understood why she was looking forward to the next beautiful experience with such anticipation and peace so this is what she would tell them. Please sign the guestbook at www.presstelegram.com/obits. "When you are an avid reader and your eye site is going
When you love to be social and your hearing is going
When you love good food and nothing appeals to you
When you love to dance and go shopping and your body won't let you. It's time to move on to the next chapter as your life on earth, this time, has come full circle."
