I remember Joe as the kind of person who was always ready to lend a hand. When he found out that i had a trailer for my generator he was right there to go get it for me and helped to repair it at Hoppie's place where he was living at the time. He was a good guy, and i am glad that i had him in my life for the 15 years that i have been married to his daughter Yolanda.

We loved and admired Tio Chema very much. The entire family did. He just had that kind of magnetic effect on people.

Yolanda, Connie, Glora, and Carlos,
We have many fond memories of your father from our early childhood, our visits with him in California, our visits with him during the family reunions and during his visit of our Aunt Estella’s funeral. Carlos, please know that my heart and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I am glad we got to visit the other day at work, and at that time I sent up a prayer for your father after you shared the information about his illness. God is gracious, and will watch over us all until we finally are reunited with our loved ones who are with Him.
