La Verne Bernice Kissell passed away on January 9 peacefully at her home in Covina surrounded by her family. She was married to the love of her life, Edward Kissell for almost 64 years. She was born on February 7, 1929 in Chicago and grew up in Markham, Illinois. After moving to Covina, she and Ed started their own business. She continued to be dedicated to both her family and running the office of All Pack Co. for over 35 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward, and her daughters, Kitty Wicks (Rob) Terry Gleason (Craig), and Mickey, and sons, Bill (Cheri) and Eddy (Kari). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
La Verne enjoyed camping and boating with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and hosted many Rotary foreign exchange students in their home. The biggest joy in her life were her children and grandchildren. She was "Mommom" to all the kids and their friends, welcoming them into her home and her heart. She will be missed by all who loved her.
The celebration of her life will be held on February 9, 2013 at 12:00 Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 344 Workman Street in Covina, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider sponsoring the family's
