July 13, 1943 - October 15, 2013

Ron was born in Glendale, California to Manuel and Andrea Castro and passed away in his home in Northridge after a long struggle with an inflammatory blood disorder.

He was a barber by trade in his younger years, then went on to work in Craft Service in the motion picture industry for 33 years. Ron was an avid USC fan, loved his Lotto "scratchers" and was known for his quick wit and "Ronnie isms." He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Judy. They were blessed by their daughter, Christina and her husband, Richard Bell who was like a son to Ron. He had a very special place in his heart for his three beautiful grandchildren, Bryana, Skylar and Blake Ronald. Very dear to him were his twin sister, Marianne Lawson; brothers, Rick and Manny Castro. His sweet dog Dusty, will greatly miss him. He was a man who asked for very little in life and gave the world to all he loved. Ron was a true original and will never be forgotten...

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 28th, at 8:30 a.m., at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. Interment at Mission Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Development Service, P.O.Box 20466, Stanford, California 94309 *In memory of Ron Castro for Dr. Gotlib Research.
