Passed away on November 13, 2013 at the age of 97.
She was born March 16, 1916 in Bloomingdale, Indiana & moved to Fontana in March of 1947, when her husband went to work at Kaiser Steel. Theresa was a stay at home mother until 1959 when she went back to work, first as a seamstress, then as an aide for Special Ed classes for Fontana Unified School District, then later for Hallmark in Fontana.
She started her volunteer work with the Steelworkers/Oldtimers now known as the Dino Papavero senior center in Fontana, serving meals, then for Kaiser Hospital where she volunteered well into her 80's.
Theresa lived in the same house until 2009, when she came out of hip surgery with no memory. She spent the next 4 ½ years at Milam Manor Assisted Living Home in Colton until November where she was then transferred to Vista Cove Health Care in Rialto, where she passed away peacefully.
She was the most selfless and giving woman. Until the day of her surgery, she never said no to anyone who asked for help. She always said she would rather be the one giving a helping hand then the one who needed it.
