In Loving Memory of Chuck Gaetano Governale Chuck was born on April 29th 1939 in Los Angeles and entered into rest on September 5th in Whittier. Chuck attended Cathedral High School and went on to graduate from California State University Los Angeles with a degree in Journalism. In the late 1960's and into the 70's, Chuck was the city and sports editor at the Whittier Daily New s. One of Chuck's many accomplishments was that of catalyst to recognize outstanding athletes in the football community, thus establishing the 605 all star football game. Chuck was a true blue Dodger fan and an avid UCLA sports fan. Chuck was also very active as a coach and manager in the La Habra Little League Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Suellen, sons; Greg Governale (Gail), Jim Governale(Mindy), Tony Governale (Sunnie), daughter; Karen Governale, brother; Bernie Governale and seven g randchildren; Paul, James, Joseph, Nicholas, Andrew, Hannah and Aaron. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
