Obituary Condolences

Age 59, of West Hills, passed away o n May 4, 2010, after a valiant two year battle with esophageal cancer. Jay was born on November 19, 1950, in Bronx, New York, and moved to California with his parents and siblings in the late 1950s. He graduated from Canoga Park High School, served in the United States Army, and worked for 32 years for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Jay is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Dan Equinoss and Dave (Jesse) Birtness; grandsons, Aidan and Cash Birtness; parents, Ann and Isidore Goldfarb; twin brother, Robert (Barbi) Goldfarb; sister, Paula (Lou) Loomis; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many loving and caring friends. Jay loved golf, poker, and his two dogs Jack and Jill. Funeral Services will be held at noon on Friday, May 7, 2010, at Sholom Memorial Park, 13017 North Lopez Canyon Rd., Sylmar (818) 890-4606.
