AULD, Catherine (Carroll)
Catherine (Carroll) Auld passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the age of 96. Catherine was born in Independence, Kentucky and moved to Pasadena when she was 5 yrs. old. She and her siblings attended school in
Alhambra where they were raised. She met and married Jim H. Auld who predeceased her in 1973. She lived in Pasadena in the same home for over 70 yrs. She was a teacher in the Pasadena School District and spent the last part of her career running the schools Day Care Center. She loved the children they brought her immense joy. She had a giving heart, a wonderful laugh along with a twinkle in her eye which lit up her face when she was surrounded by her family.
Catherine survived by her sister, Sister Bernadette Mary, sons John and Jim (Moira) Auld; Grandsons: Jim Jr. (Susan) and Jason (Sandi) Auld; Granddaughters Cheryl Jepsen, Annissa Maestri and Medy Podliska and she was so very proud of her 13 great grandchildren. Blake, Connor, Garrett, Madison and Megan Auld; Taylor and Ryan Jepsen; Sammatha Southerland; Ali, Ashley and Kaari Maestri; Carissa and Joshua Podliska. Our beloved Catherine will be greatly missed.
Memorial services will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 2640 East Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena 91107. Interment will be private.
