Murray was a long-time resident of Brentwood, CA who recently resided in Yorba Linda, CA. Murray grew up in Fontana, California and graduated from Fontana High School in 1974 where he starred in football and baseball. Murray attended The University of Redlands and later graduated from The University of La Verne with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He began his professional career in Manufacturing at Kaiser Steel in Fontana and then continued his professional journey at Northwest Pipe and Ameron. Murray spent his last 21 years at Simpson Strong-Tie where he left a lasting impression as Vice President of the Southwest Region. Murray enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather. He was happiest wearing flip-flops and shorts and loved golfing and hopelessly rooting for his Raiders. He was passionate about coaching sports and tirelessly devoted his time to his daughter's teams. All who knew him will miss Murray's tenacious personality, fatherly spirit and humorous nature. Murray is survived by his loving wife Jovita Daniels and his four daughters; Mamie Murphy of Brentwood, Margie Lozano of Oakley, Joey Daniels of Oakley and Genevieve Lund of San Francisco. Murray's doting four grandchildren include Murray Jack Murphy, Trulee Lozano, Giada Murphy and Coupe Lozano. His sisters Jackie Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO and Sandy Zanabria of Spring Valley, CA also survive Murray. Murray was preceded in death by his parents Neale and Margaret Daniels. Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Thursday, December 27th from 1-3pm at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Brentwood, CA followed by the Rosary from 3-4pm also at Immaculate Heart. Murray's funeral mass at Immaculate Heart will begin at 11am on Friday, December 28th and the procession will then continue to Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch, CA.
