William Camden Terry
Also known as Bill, Dad, Grandpa, and Bompa was born June 3, 1941 and was a long time resident of Highland, California. He passed away on February 19th at age 71 following a valiant fight with lung cancer. Bill was born in St. Louis, MO., and along with his family moved to California in 1946. He attended Fontana High School and graduated from Los Angeles Trade Technical College where he studied automotive mechanics which then lead to his employment at the local General Motors Dealership. Upon his father's failing health, he took over his father's dairy business. After the business was sold, Bill worked at Kaiser Steel as a rigger, and later, entered again into another family business, "John's Camper Sales and Service", in Redlands. Years later Bill became a successful Allstate Independent Agent, a position he held until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Pauline Terry. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Deborah, his daughters Kelly Maguire (Brett), Carianne Mackamul, Katilynn Gile (Chris), son Raymond Terry (Emily), and his precious grandchildren, Tiana, Nicole, Remae, and Joey Mackamul, as well as, Sammy and Gracie Terry, and Savannah, Abbey, and Paige Gile. He is also survived by sister Donna Mead (Irwin), and brother Bruce Terry (Maureen), and nephew Michael, and nieces Kathy Gentry and Elizabeth Terry. His love and pride of family will live on through generations as well as his quick wit and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Service will be held this Sunday, February 24 th, at 2:00pm, at Highland Congregational Church, 3606 Atlantic Ave. Highland.
