RALPH T. LEMUS

Graduated San Fernando High School and enlisted in the United States Air National Guard in 1948. He served actively in the Air National Guard and the US Air Force for a total of 35 years. He retired in 1983 as a Senior Master Sergeant and Flight Engineer. He enjoyed his career as a Flight Engineer and flew many cargo missions with the 146th Air Lift Wing.
In retirement Ralph worked for Big A Auto Parts stores and Cylinder Head Company. He and his wife Hazel enjoyed travel and service in the Elks Club and American Legion. Ralph and Hazel were married for 68 years.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; daughters, Susan Adams (Mike Adams) and Cindy Emeterio (Bob Emeterio); grandchildren, Kelly Crow (Tom Crow), Joshua Emeterio (Heidi Emeterio) and Russell Emeterio (Jody Emeterio); great grandchildren, Christopher Crow, Alex Crow, Cameran Emeterio, Sage Emeterio, Chanel Emeterio, Reese Emeterio and Layton Emeterio; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Viewing will take place Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at J.T. Oswald Funeral Home in San Fernando, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral service will take place Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 10:30 a.m., at the Mission Rey Chapel in Mission Hills, with burial to follow at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills.
