NOLAN, Merven Leo

Merven Leo Nolan, Jr., 64, of Lakewood, past away November 17, 2013. Son of Merven and Vera Nolan, he grew up in Alhambra, CA. He is survived by his children, Veronica and David Nolan and Carina Sanford, sisters Helene Bassler, Nancy Ignatieff, Mary Willett, and Gail Begerow. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Nolan. "Chico" served in the U.S. Army, was a stock trader, and worked for the Racing Association for many years. He was a loving father, fitness enthusiast, and lousy golfer.. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, and kind heart. A memorial service will be held at Clocker's Corner, Santa Anita Race Track, on November 26 at 12:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Villa Esperanza, 2060 E. Villa St., Pasadena, CA, 91107.
