Jeanette was my (sub) teacher on many occasions while I attended Valley View. Later when I worked at Valley View she was there alot as well. I always loved her sense of humor and her laughter, and we had alot of enjoyment discussing the good ole days. I don't recall ever seeing her angry or upset. She was such a special person. Heaven has gained an angel.
Prayers and Blessings to the family. She loved her family and spoke of you all often. She will be missed.

Jeanette was a very special person, and even though I saw her infrequently in recent years, I vividly remember, with love and admiration, so many wonderful times spent in her company. One that comes to mind, which my son Ross and I were talking about a few minutes ago, was once I asked her to help me with some genealogical research about my Grandfather's side of the family. Now, she wasn't related to the Childresses, but when Ross and I arrived at her home, she gave him the keys to her Cadillac, sat in the passenger side and had carefully mapped out the entire afternoon going to various Campbell Co. cemeteries, visiting Childress cousins so I could glean much desired information. She was like that: accommodating, organized, involved with other people's needs, generous with her time and money, and family was her greatest joy. I'll miss my cousin and envy God as I know Jeanette's a heavenly helper now. God bless Faye and Becky and the rest of our family as we grieve our loss. Betty Brown Mynatt
