Charles William "Bill" Woods

Charles William Bill Woods, 80, of Jacksboro died June 29, at home surrounded by his family, following a long battle with heart disease. He retired after 25 years as a City of LaFollette Police Officer and U.S. Army Korean Veteran. He loved and knew Jesus Christ, loved guns, music and western movies and was a wonderful Dad, Papaw, Great Papaw and beloved Brother and Uncle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lola Burns Woods, his wife, Mary Ann Powell Woods, and his second wife, Ruth Abbott Woods.
He is survived by his, children Melissa and Tim Brown, Jacksboro, Greg and Cindy Woods, Catie and Tim Wilson, all of LaFollette; grandchildren, Cody LeMarr, of Las Vegas, Alicia LeMarr, of Jacksboro, Jordon Wilson, Emalynn Woods, both of LaFollette; great-grandson, Landon Carroll, of Jacksboro; sisters, Wanda Mowell Deany, of Newcomb, Shirley Woods and Lola Wilson, of Knoxville, Betty Cooper, of Columbus, Ohio; brother, John Woods, of LaFollette.
