Eva P. Moses, 87, of Gratis, Ohio, died Nov. 23 in Miamisburg, Ohio.
She was born in Bell County, Ky., on June 15, 1925. She had retired from Governor Harris Homestead after 19 years as a cook. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Alice Sweat Wilson; son, Johnny Moses; brothers, Estel Wilson Jr., Jesse L. Wilson; sisters, Shirley Wilson, Monnie White, Ruby Wilson.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, the Rev. J.C. Moses, of Gratis, Ohio; two children, Tommy Moses and wife, Janice, of Lake Wales Fla., Brian Moses, of Corbin, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Kay Moses, of Eaton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Ricky Moses, Susan Moses, Gene Moses, Gina Arnold, Jeremy Moses, Tiffany Moses and Dylan Moses; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three sisters, A.V. Violet, of LaFollette, Fannie Henegar, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ruby Cox, of LaFollette; special brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Freda Moses, of Eaton, Ohio; along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services were Nov. 27, with the Rev. Frankie Hunt officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 7085 Gratis-Jacksonburg Rd., Gratis, Ohio, in memory of 'Miss Eva.'
Lindlofff-Zimmerman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
