Hiram W. Jordan, of Jacksboro, died March 9 at his home.
He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. He retired from General Motors
(Delco Chassis) with 28 years of service in Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Fronnie Jordan; father and mother in law, Fred and Eva Thorton Clair; brother-in-law, Henry Thorton; special aunt and uncle, Margie and Tobe Chambers; niece, Amy Carroll.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bertha Thorton Jordan; daughter, Debra Thacker of Ohio; son and wife, Darren and Jennifer Jordan, of Maryville; sister, Linda Creager of Ohio; brother, Ronald 'Peanut' Jordan of Jacksboro; special cousin, Clarence Lowe, of Jacksboro. He has seven grandchildren whom he loved very much, and he also loved meeting with his special friends at Hardees each morning.
Funeral services were March 12 with the Rev. Roger Stanley and the Rev. Charles Noss officiating. Interment was March 13 in the Meredith Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Campbell County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 122, Jacksboro, 37757.
