Jean Gibbs, of Jacksboro, formerly of Williamsburg, Ky., died Feb. 2 at the LaFollette Health and Rehab Center.
She was 80 years, 3 months, and 2 days of age. She was born on Oct. 30, 1932, in Pruden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brownlow Osborne and Hattie Partin Osborne; husband, William Gibbs; daughter, Darlene Partin; three sisters, Henrietta Hughes, Phoebe Burkholder and Della Sharp.
She is survived by daughter Karen Scott and husband, Danny, of Pioneer; son, Doug Gibbs of Jacksboro; six grandchildren, Kenneth 'Doodle' Partin and wife, Buffy, of Frakes, Ky., Tonya Wilson and husband, William, of Williamsburg, Ky., Brandon Knuckles and wife, Jessica, of Corbin, Ky., Nathan Hamblin and wife, Valerie, of Jellico, Morgan Netzela and wife, Nicole, of Pioneer, and Alex Scott of Pioneer; great-grandchildren, Heather Wilson, Brandie Wilson, Amanda Partin, Jayden Partin, Jaycee Knuckles, Jayce Hamblin, Joey Creekmore, William Hamblin, Cayden Netzela, and Riley Creekmore; sisters, Vaude Lawson of Sidney, Ohio, and Roxie Marlowe of Clearfield; many nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were Feb. 4 with the Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating.
