Roxie Ann Marlow, 78, formerly of Clairfield, died March 14 at the Tennessee LaFollette Health and Rehab Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Roxie was born Sept. 3, 1934 in Fonde, Ky., and was the second of six girls to Brownloe and Hattie Partin-Osborne.
She worked at Carwood in Jellico for many years and later became a personal caregiver to the sick and homebound until retiring after suffering from her own health issues.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Marlow Sr.; parents, Brownloe and Hattie Partin Osborne; sisters, Willie Jean Gibbs, Henrietta Hughes, Phoebe Burkholder and Della Sharpe; special niece, Darlene Partin Thomas.
Roxie is survived by her children, Sharon Petro and husband, Ron, of Speedwell, Mary Ann Bourland and husband, Jake, of Williamsburg, Ky., Larence Marlow Jr., of Oak Ridge, Linda Marlow of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Amy Petro, Jeremy Petro, Laura Roaden, Carrie Roaden and Selena Lawson; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Vauda Lawson, of Sidney, Ohio; sister-in-law, Rosie Lee Garrett of Clairfield; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and many extended family members.
Funeral services were March 17 with the Rev. Adam Gulley officiating.
Interment was March 18 at Johnson Cemetery in Clairfield.
Harp Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
