Walter Lynn Adkins

Rev. Walter Lynn Adkins of Clinton, formerly of LaFollette, 75, died Nov. 30,. He was an Air Force Veteran, President of Workers for God's Kingdom Church Association, and served as pastor until becoming disabled. He was born in Claiborne County but lived most of his life in Campbell County and owned and operated many different businesses from trucking, operating a restaurant across from the hospital, super market, and furniture store. He wrote gospel music and played and recorded it as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Amy Kimberlin Adkins and brothers Clayton, Chester, and Lester.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ethel Michaelis Adkins; beloved daughter, Linda Clarke of Illinois; brothers, Raymond 'Dick', Danny, Lloyd, Don, Billy, and Jerry of LaFollette; and sisters, Brenda Roeback and Helen Adkins of LaFollette.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 6th, at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. David Triplett of Eagle Bend Apostolic Church officiating. The Campbell County Honor Guard will be in charge of the graveside service. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations in the Rev. Adkins' memory to be sent to the Eagle Bend Apostolic Church PO Box 489 Clinton, TN 37716.
Martin Wilson Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
