Bobby Jack Parks, 77, of Meridianville, Ala., died Feb. 13. He was born in Tennessee on Feb. 25, 1935, to William Lee and Ethel Davis Parks. He was retired from the U.S. Army where he was a Korean War veteran and a Vietnam War veteran. He was recipient of two purple hearts, a silver star, a bronze star and numerous other metals.
He was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed shooting pool and spending time at the senior center.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Harbin Parks; children, Linda Underwood and husband Rick, Rhonda Kyle and husband Jeff, and Bobby Joe Parks and wife Venita; two brothers Larry Parks, and Harold Parks; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Feb. 18 with the Rev. Larry Fincher officiating. Interment followed at Maple Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Drake Ave. Senior Center or the .
Berryhill Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
