Charles S. Morton, 86, of Jacksboro, died Nov. 10. He was a member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church and retired from the LaFollette Post Office as Post Master after 42 years of service. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Bartley Morton; parents, Edwin E. Morton Sr. and Carrie Lee Morton; brothers, Edwin Jr., Joe and Billy Morton; sister, Dorothy Morton.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Steve Hatmaker; grandchildren, Mark Hatmaker, Christa and Joshua Roberts; brother and sister-in-law, Al and Rosemary Morton; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Carl Parrott; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Nov. 13, with the Rev. Jeff Tallent officiating. Interment was in Fincastle Cemetery with military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
