David L. Thomas, age 63, of Jacksboro, and owner of Thomas Pawn, passed away at UT Medical Center. He went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, May 9, after a long fight with heart, lung, and kidney disease. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, a 32 degree Mason and member of Campbell County Lodge #778 and Campbell County Scottish Rite Club. He enjoyed tinkering on old cars, reading, visiting his friends, spending time with family and loved his family and grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Magalene "Pat" and David L. Thomas; sister, Victoria "Vicki" Ciparro.
He is survived by wife, Brenda Thomas; daughter, Cheyenne Thomas McCullah and son-in-law, Blake McCullah, whom was like a son; sister, Leslie Grenville and husband, Robert of Crossville; nephew, William "Scott" Thomas, whom he considered "Little Brother," and wife, Joanie of Caryville; Godson and nephew, Eric Mason Clotfelter and wife, Sarah of Jacksboro; grandchildren, David "Cohen" McCullah and Mia Blakely McCullah; special friend, Ralph Bahr of Wisconsin. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services were held Saturday, May 12 in the Cross-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Clem officiating and a Masonic Service beginning at 2:45 p.m. Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Cross-Smith Funeral Home, of LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
