Ethel Lorene Sweat, 82, of LaFollette, died July 10. She was born January 5, 1930. Ethel was a member of Fordtown Baptist Church, but attended Forks Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from Imperial Reading.
She is preceded in death by husband, Emerson Sweat; son, Melvin Sweat; parents, Amos and Mary Miller; brothers, Glenn, Garrett and Larry Miller; sister, Bonnie Henegar; sister-in-law, Juanita Burden.
She is survived by sisters Wilma Wilson, Lucille Parker, Lenora Prater and Linda Miles of Georgia; brothers, Bill, Kenneth, Ronnie, and Bob; sister-in-law, Genella Sweat; brother-in-law, Charles Sweat.
Funeral services were July 13 at Cross-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Poston. and the Rev. Junior Nelson officiating. Interment was at noon July 14 in the Goins-Sweat Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Campbell County Cancer Association; P.O. Box 122; Jacksboro, Tenn. 37757.
Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
