Re Ettia Bowlin, age 77, of LaFollette, entered her Heavenly home on Monday, July 9. She was a Christian of the Church of God faith. Re Ettia loved her children, collecting antiques, traveling and showcasing her treasures. Preceded in death by father, Ernest Riggs and mother, Mary Spitzer; grandmother, Nora Woods; sisters, Eunice Shuttleworth, Helen Wells, Pat Riggs and brother, Glen Riggs.
She is survived by husband, Virgil Bowlin; daughters, Teresa Housley and husband, Grover, Nora Cis' Robbins and husband, Larry, Sandra Bowlin and son, Mike Bowlin and wife, Ida; grandchildren, Cheyenne Housley Fustos, Travis Robbins, Derik Bowlin, Duran Bowlin, Jordan Allen, Koby Bowlin, Westin Brown and Karley Bowlin; great-grandchildren, Layton and Slade Fustos, Alarik and August Bowlin, Ethan and Madi Bowlin, Karlie Allen, Easton, Kolton, and Paxton Bowlin, Roman Brown; sisters, Alta Ayers, Melissa Riggs; brothers, Cliff Riggs, Ron Riggs, Darrell Riggs; several nieces, nephews and beloved friends; best friend, Christy Bolton and her beloved poodle Peta and special caregiver, Sheila Walden.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Cross-Smith Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 8 p.m. in the Cross-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Bruce, the Rev. Wade Walls, and the Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment will be Friday, July 13 at 1 p.m. in Powell Valley Cemetery.
