Roberta Lucille LeMarr Branam, born Aug. 3, 1944, of LaFollette, went on to her Heavenly home July 7. She was a member of Stanfield Church of God. Armed with her strong faith in God, she prayed her way through everything. She worked hard all of her life and always had an open door to her home and an open chair at her table. She was a humble woman that was a blessing to everyone that knew her.
A small testimony of how she cherished her family -- As she lay in her hospital bed on the last leg of her journey here, one of her great-grandsons, Devon, came in to see her. When asked "Do you know who this is?" She replied, "My heart." She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Roberta was the daughter of Klon and Mrytle LeMarr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe "Roe" Branam; three children, Rolene, Jerry and Steve Branam; two grandchildren, Connie and Chris Meadows; parents, one brother, Curtis LeMarr; one sister, Phyllis Ayers; special in-laws, Floyd and Cora Branam.
She is survived by two daughters, Dean and husband, Donnie Jones, Cora Phillips and husband, and one son, Robert Green, all of LaFollette; grandchildren, Sheriva and husband, John Campbell, Donna Jones and Stephen McCullah, Carl and wife, Erin Meadows, Reace and husband, Justin Goss and Cynthia and husband, Shawn Holley and Candy Lyke and husband; great-grandchildren, Devon Jones, Cody Anderson, Christopher and Emmitt Meadows, Ethan, Layla and Jay Goss, Savannah, Felicia, Abraham, Issac and Jacob Holley, Dylan Lyke; great-great-grandchild, Annastasia Colsey; and special friend, Erin Gibson; sister, Grace Nolan and two sisters-in-law, Lucille and husband, Jimmy Sands and Joyce Bolton.
Services were held Tuesday, July 10 in the Cross-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Branam and the Rev. Matthew Bolton officiating. Interment was in Hall Cemetery.
