Trulene Heatherly Nash, age 85, of LaFollette, in the Davis Chapel Community, passed away Wednesday, May 16. She was a member of Davis Chapel Community Baptist Church. She was very active since 1989 in the Campbell County Historical Society, LaFollette Garden Club, LaFollette Book Club and member since 2006 of LaFollette Beautification Board. She was an early member of the Campbell Culture Coalition founded in 2007. A 1957 graduate of LMU, she was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC. Then as a civilian, she was employed for 30 years by the U.S. Navy, from which she retired in 1988. Preceded in death by parents, James Squire and Ruth Ellison Heatherly; brother, Roy Heatherly.
She is survived by brother, Arnold Heatherly; nieces, Sarah Heatherly, Terri Heatherly-Dolan; nephew, Gary Heatherly; special cousins, Dewey Lambdin II, Shirley K. Davis, Margie Bentley, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Monday, May 21 in the Cross-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Sunrise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Campbell County Historical Society, 235 E Central Ave., LaFollette, Tennessee, 37766.
