William Sampson O'Brien, 91, of Lake City, died Sept. 1 at his son's home in Westville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Marion and Elsie Reynolds O'Brien; sons James Walter, Henry, Earl and Kenneth Ray O'Brien; his first wife, Alma Richardson.
He is survived by his wife, Una Mae Baker; children, Charles O'Brien of Westville, Nina Gail Knight, of Knoxville; Patricia Lee McElwee, of Eaton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Sept. 5. Interment was in Byrd Cemetery in Elk Valley.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Willowbrook Baptist Church or the Coal Creek Lodge #492 F&AM.
Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
