Faye Leach Carroll, 85, of LaFollette, died Feb. 5.
She was born May 20, 1928, in Speedwell.ÊShe graduated from LaFollette High School in 1944, married her childhood sweetheart, Hubert, on July 17, 1945, and retired from Imperial Reading after 41 years of service.ÊThroughout their 68-year marriage, Faye and Hubert were best friends and constant companions.ÊTheir love for each other was a godly example to all who knew them.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, especially her devoted son and daughter-in-law and her granddaughters.Ê She faithfully served the Lord at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church where she taught women'sÊSunday School for 44 years, participated on many committees and joyfully sang in the choir.ÊShe loved to nurture the souls of her family and friends through her wonderful cooking and generous hospitality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verlin and Emalee Leach; daughter-in-law Mary Carroll; and brothers Earl and Eugene Leach.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert Carroll; son, Ronnie Carroll, of Farragut;Ê granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Rhonda and Scott Sims, of Nashville, and Ginny and Thomas Herrick, of Farragut; her four adored great-grandchildren, Virginia and Mary Lydia Sims,Ê Samuel and Lily Herrick;Êbrothers and sisters-in-law, Arden and Louise Leach, Elmon Leach, Russell and Joyce Leach, Wayne and JoAnn Leach; loving, nurturing sister Janet Summers and brother-in-law, Millard Summers; and many nephews and nieces including special, loving caregiver, Pat Carroll.
The Carroll family is so grateful for the care and love received from the second floor North employees of Tennova's LaFollette Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were Feb. 8 at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church.
Interment was at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
