Sterling Andrew Lawson, 87, of LaFollette, died Feb. 6.
He was a member and deacon at Grantsboro Baptist Church and WWII Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Andrew and Ollie Jane Sharp Lawson; brothers, Otis Tim Lawson and James Lawson; sisters, Sue Carter, Edna Albright, Bessie Sharp, Guina Lee Carmany, Maude Ayers and Betty Lawson.
He is survived by his wife, Josie Brown Lawson; sons, Steven Andrew and wife, Evon Lawson and Rodney and wife, Debbie Lawson; grandchildren, Heather and Jason Rutherford, Brandy and Jerry Hatmaker, Amanda Wampler and Rebecca and Jeremy Dorsett; six great-grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Miller, of Rockwood; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Feb. 7 at Grantsboro Baptist Church with the Rev. David Goins and the Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating.
Interment was at Grantsboro Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
