Dorothy Mae Shock, 80, of LaFollette, formerly of New Lebanon, Ohio, died June 4.

She was born in Brookville in Montgomery County, Ohio, on Nov. 8, 1933. She graduated from Brookville High School in 1951.
She was married to her husband, Paul, on July 25, 1952, and moved to New Lebanon.
Dorothy was a housewife who worked at Dixie School cafeteria followed by the Farmers Bank, New Lebanon, then as Divisional Credit Manager at Cordage Paper Company, Dayton Division, until 1983.
She managed Shock Terrace Apartments until her husband retired.
She was a member of LaFollette United Methodist Church, beloved friends of the Ladies of Deerfield Bible Study, a 50-year member of Farmersville, Ohio, Chapter No. 155 Eastern Star and Sareme Club Star Points, West Carrolton, Ohio.
She served as Cub Scout den mother and IGA paper route with a five-year award.
She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, painting, crochet and knitting, LaFollette Pink P.A.L.S. and battled breast cancer since 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and LeEtta Wright Stoner, of Brookville, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Shock; two sons, Jerry Shock and wife, Kimberly, of Deerfield Resort, LaFollette and Larry Shock and wife, Gay, of New Lebanon, Ohio; granddaughter, Nichole Snyder and husband, Chris, of Springboro, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Savannah Snyder; grandson, Zachary Shock; step-grandson, Chris Landis and wife, Megan, of New Lebanon, Ohio; two step-grandsons, Noah and Ethan Landis.
Memorial services were June 11 at LaFollette United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Stanfield officiating.
Interment was at Trissel Cemetery in Lebanon, Ohio.
