Dow Wright, 90, of Jacksboro, died July 22.
He was a member, deacon and choir leader for more than 50 years at Beech Fork Baptist Church in Caryville.
He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran and 54-year member of Campbell County Masonic Lodge No. 778.
He was well-known for his singing for the Lord for 55 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ellen Wright; father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Armelda Lawson; brothers, J.C. and Lawrence Wright; sisters, Marie Duncan, Earlene Phillips, Dixie Elmore and Euvene Wright; two infant brothers and two infant sisters.
He was survived by his wife of 66 years, Nadine Lawson Wright; sons, Roger and Linda Wright, Freddie and Darlene Wright, Jerry and Sandy Wright; daughters, Marcie McKamey and husband, Kenneth, Karen York and husband Johnny; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Lula Watson.
Funeral services were July 25 at Beech Fork Baptist Church with the Revs. Lee Phillips and Edwin Lowe officiating.
Interment was in Beech Fork Cemetery.
Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
